wooden bed, mattress, pillows and quilt, clothes and pants, table lamp, personal object
We curated previous art exhibition under the theme of “destigamatization,” conveying that people with mental problems should not be looked at differently. We have the same psychological and social qualities that characterize human beings.
The work, extending the previous theme, aims to feature food and sex that almost every human desire for. A piece of clothes, trousers, and underpants arranged on the bed represent the sexual desire that people suffer from mental problems or not all have. What differentiates us from others is that we tend to resort to masturbating than finding a sexual partner. There are diverse ways to fulfill ones’ sexual desire and fantasy, including reading porn magazines, masturbating, etc. No one should be discriminated.
